Shipbuilder: JP Almond, North Shields (1846 - 1858)

JP Almond was primarily an engine builder based at Union Quay, Low Lights Shore, North Shields. It is unlikely that they built ships in their own premises, but probably took the order and sub-contracted the hull to a local builder and then fitted the engine themselves.
