On a voyage from Goole to Exeter with a cargo of coal
Specifically designed to navigate the Exeter Canal and fitted with
a self discharging system requiring two large & heavy winches
which were installed 7ft above the main deck.
She was described as a very "tender" ship & liable to list
Probable cause of capsize due to water entering hold.
Cost of vessel to owners was £6,948
