Comments: 30/01/1940: Attacked by German aircraft 15 miles south of Smith Knoll Light
She was set alight and the crew were forced to abandon her
23 crew died as a result of the attack and the abandonment
02/02/1940: The burning vessel ran agound at Covehithe and was subsequently repaired
16/03/1941: Sunk by gunfire from GNEISENAU 380 miles SE St John's, Newfoundland
On a voyage from Cardiff to Halifax in ballast
