Subsequently raised & rebuilt for the Ministry of War Transport
09/07/1942: Sank after being torpedoed and shelled by U-Boat U575,
5 miles north of Tobago in position 11.40N - 60.55W
On a voyage from Demerara to Barbados & the UK with a cargo of pitch, sugar & mail
