12/09/1882: Grounded on an uncharted rock in the Haitan Straits, when en-route from Hong Kong to Shanghai. The Captain landed 132 passengers and crew on Long Yet, who were then robbed by the locals. By 2000hrs ‘hundreds’ of locals were stripping the wreck.
