1877: Lengthened to 419.2ft by Laird Bros at Birkenhead

23/04/1894: Abandoned & lost in a storm off Cape Finisterre
On voyage from Liverpool & Cardiff to Marseilles to be broken up
Loaded with a cargo of coal, pitch & suphate of ammonia
Board of Trade Inquiry suggested probable insurance fraud
