Comments: The world's fastest cruiser at the time of her completion
15/05/1904: During the Russo-Japanese War, while operating off Port Arthur, she collided with the armoured cruiser KASUGO.
KASUGO's ram pierced the engine room and the YOSHINO turned turtle and sank. 318 crew died and only 19 survived
