27/01/1899: Stranded on Coolernose Point, (near Craster), when on passage from Palamos (Spain) to Burntisland, with a cargo of cork shavings
At the inquiry into her loss, it was found that she was on an incorrect course, the use of the lead was neglected and the 2nd Officer had failed to call the master on sighting a fog bank !
