Comments: A CHANT (from Channel Tanker) was a type of prefabricated coastal tanker
A total of twenty-eight prefabricated sections were made up into a ship
CHANT 60 & 61 were assembled on a road between two slipways
They were allocated separate yard numbers, but not in the main sequence
08/06/1944: Capsized off Normandy. Probably before it was realised there
were stability issues with the design
On a voyage from Thamshaven to Normany with a cargo of fresh water
