03/1970 Cunard Steam Ship Co Ltd, Liverpool (Atlantic Container Lines, managers)
28/05/1982 Sank
Comments: 1982: Requisitioned for use as transport & support in the Falklands War
25/05/1982: Hit by two Exocet missiles from Argentine Super Étendard jet fighters
Fire destroyed much of the ship interior and most of the equipment she was carrying
3 x Chinook, 6 x Wessex and 1 x Lynx helicopters plus tools & spares were lost
28/05/1982: Scuttled off the Falklands Islands.12 persons died
